Scibelli & Brook Photography have just uploaded their photos from our wedding. You can view them here. I really should be uploading more of my photos soon, after getting around to building the gallery that is.

I played golf on Saturday for the first time since well before the wedding (that’s like two months at least), and man do I suck. It’s distressing to lack any sort of ability to strike the ball cleanly from 100 metres in. Clearly a decent shortgame is one thing I didn’t inherit from my dad. Oh well. A few more games and I’ll be off 12, a place I haven’t visited in over 10 years!
PS: For all those that don’t play golf, and that may be a good many of you, you’ll probably have no idea what I’m talking about. Let’s put it this way, it’s not good…

It is so hard getting back into working life.
I’ve been back in Melbourne for just over a week now, and it already feels like Thailand was years ago. I think everyone knows how much of a downer it is to come back from overseas and start work again. A few of my friends travel quite a bit, especially to Europe, and now I can finally begin to understand how hard it must be for them to enter back into corporate life.
It’s not that I really dislike corporate life. After all, it’s what I studied all these years for. However I really miss the fact that every day overseas was a learning experience, every turn was a new discovery.
Anyway, enough pining about lost holidays.

Above is a really cool photo my friend Monica took of Elaine and I at the wedding reception. Apparently her memory card got corrupted and only saved the top half, but what a stunning top half it is. There’s some really groovy shadow thing happening in the background.
Tonight I’m going out for dinner to celebrate Mike and Taffy’s birthdays. This will be the third night in a row that I’ve been out for dinner. Tuesday was Elaine and my one month anniversary dinner at Gigetto (yay us!), and yesterday the Thia clan headed out to Shark Fin Inn for my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary! What an absolutely wonderful achievement. What better role models for how to have a successful marriage? Congratulations Mum and Dad!!!

I’ve been bumming at home the last two days trying to reacclimatise myself to the Melbourne weather. Never realised how cold it is here.
My one adventure today involved picking up the “pro” photos from Scibelli Brook Photography. I say again, they are the kindest couple that you’d ever meet.

Elaine and I spent tonight putting all 285 proof prints into a basic flick-flick (as Elaine calls them) album.

I’ll be spending the next few weeks selecting shots to put them all into my own self-made album. If I can’t be responsible for taking the photos at my own wedding, I’m determined to be at least responsible for putting together the official photo records!

Elaine and I are currently in Bangkok. For all those looking for an update on how things are going… this isn’t it unfortunately. Been busy running around the town taking in as much as possible of the local flavor, and by the time the day ends there isn’t much energy left to document the day. Taking plenty of photos though, to the point where I’m having serious issues with space on my hard disk.
Going home soon. Too soon.
See you all back in Melbourne on Wednesday.
