It’s been such a busy couple of weeks that I’m sure it must be difficult to follow the timeline of this weblog.
Last Wednesday I went to the Hyatt Regency Coolum for a conference. Not a bad place to be stuck for a few days eh? The conference was really entertaining, and it even included a round of golf on Friday. However apart from that, I was a bit disappointed we didn’t have more time to explore the area.
Around lunch time on Friday, after the round of golf, Elaine arrived on her flight from Melbourne. You see, we had organised a weekend at Noosa with a bunch of good friends who were also at the conference. It was the perfect mix of work and play.
It wasn’t until Noosa that I really dragged my camera from its bag.

A few of us hired two neighbouring apartments on Hastings Street, the main drag at Noosa.

The rooms were spacious, albeit a little inconsistent with the level of furnishings.

Hastings Street.

When we weren’t eating, shopping or at the beach, we were here in the apartments’ pool, spa and sauna.

On Saturday we visited the Eumundi Markets.

With over 500 stalls, it’s definitely the largest market I’ve ever been to.

I’m not sure we managed to cover it all in the three hours we were there.

Elaine, me, Ramesh and Rahul.

Later that night we all headed out to one of the nicest restaurants on the strip, Bistro C.
Right outside there was this sand sculpture, which we thought would make the perfect backdrop for our Noosa group photo.

The Bistro C chocolate tart. It tasted even better than it looked.

Sunday morning consisted of a quick stroll down the beach…

…to eat even more food.

All our friends flew back Sunday afternoon, leaving Elaine and I to head off to the Novotel Twin Waters Resort for a couple more days of R&R.
I’m nearing my self-imposed limit of 15 pictures per post, so the photos from the next two days will have to come later. Check back soon for more images from the Sunshine Coast!
