Winter weddings are an interesting affair with one eye always on the weather. For winter wedding photos there’s routinely a “dry” plan and a “wet” plan. However last weekend’s wedding between Sam and Ben was blessed with some of the best conditions that we’ve seen in quite a while. The “dry” plan was happily swung into action.
Sam and Ben met eleven years ago at university. On Sunday they got married at the Melbourne Grammar Chapel, and they had the grandest of receptions at Rippon Lea. The highlight of the night was definitely their well choreographed first waltz.
Check out a Sneak Peek of their photos by clicking the below image:

On Friday my good mate David took us to a new bar – mind you, for all I know it may not be that new, but at least it was new to us. It’s called Victor’s, and is on Drummond Street in Carlton, just off Lygon Street. It’s got a wonderfully unique décor that can only be described as a psychedelically eclectic kitsch collection of statues, chandeliers, books and knick-knacks.
If you’re looking for a few quiet drink after a Lygon Street dinner I’d definitely suggest going past Brunetti (literally) and popping by Victor’s for a look around.

By the way, this photo was taken with Elaine’s Panasonic Lumix. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t take nice photos with a compact camera.

Thanks to an absent minded sales assistant I’ve had to learn how to remove garment security tags. It took quite a while to figure out how to do it, but I eventually removed the pin after realising it had nothing to do with magnets (as I originally thought). Surprisingly, it was quite a simple process.
